Shipbuilding Development Scheme - Brownfield Capacity Expansion
Brownfield shipyard expansion capital assistance
What it is

What you get
- Brownfield shipyard expansion capital assistance
Who it is for

- the applicant prepares a prescribed DPR and obtains IA/NSbM approval
- the applicant demonstrates complete financial closure for the approved project cost before the first grant instalment

- capital assistance is calculated case-by-case on approved eligible project cost and is not a guaranteed maximum for every applicant
- a later project phase or expansion requires fresh application and appraisal
- the first instalment requires complete financial closure for the entire expansion
- unsupported land, ordinary working capital, ineligible assets or costs outside Schedule I cannot be assumed eligible
- sanction, grant release, monitoring and completion are conditional
